Holy Week Meditations
"O Sacred Head"
O Sacred Head, now wounded,
With grief and pain weighed down,
How scornfully surrounded,
With thorns Thine only crown!
Thursday night was a dark night, but Jesus earnestly looked forward to the feast with his disciples before the coming suffering. He also made a promise to us about a feast that is to come.
Luke 22:15 and 18
Wednesday - Holy Week Meditation with Pastor Alex.
If you read carefully through the accounts of Holy Week, you'll see that, even in the most intense week of his life, Jesus withdrew in the evenings to be alone and recharge and pray.
"Not my will, but yours be done"
Luke 21: 37-38
They were asking Jesus these questions because he was teaching with authority…and he understood what he was talking about. And he also performed miracles and healed people…and that was amazing.
Luke 20:2
"Tell us by what authority you do these things, or who it is that gave you this authority."
