Thankful to Grow Up at French Camp Academy

with Karen Winter

who was named the 2018 FCA Outstanding Alumnus of the year. She has a Masters degree in counseling and a degree in Bible & Religion. Karen has served as a missionary in a variety of countries, worked as a counselor at the Oxford Counseling Center for 17 years with individuals who have mental and physical disabilities and has also authored a book, Unfaltering Strength.


Through examples given from her life in Africa, New Guinea and Europe, Karen describes how Faith can develop and lead to strength through trusting God. The book also includes experiences from her years growing up in French Camp.  Come hear about the impact French Camp has made on her life!


Historical Highlight Luncheons are held the 2nd Thursday of each month at French Camp Presbyterian Church, featuring a speaker who shares some aspect of French Camp's history and a delicious, home-cooked meal for a $3 donation. The public is invited.

The September 14 Historical Highlight speaker will be Jeanette Taylor Donald, daughter of W.A. "Alex" Taylor, Sr. of Taylor Machine Company. The Taylor family is from French Camp and has a long history of support for French Camp Academy.
